Do this to improve your pottery decoration.
Majority of our students stick to glazes claiming that they can not paint any images or patterns and prefer to cover the whole piece with one colour instead.
There is nothing wrong with glazing your pot with one colour and we have myriads of fun glaze combinations to choose from.
But if you are curious about painting on your pottery you have to remember that painting on pottery and painting on other easily accessible medium like paper is very similar.
If you can paint on paper then you can paint on pottery.
And if you keep practicing painting on paper you are inevitably going to keep improving.
Do these following steps to improve your pottery painting:
✅ Get an album for watercolour painting
✅ Get a set of very basic watercolours.
✅ Get a few brushes.
✅ Fill every page in your album with reiterations of the same pattern over and over. You will be amazed to see how much you improve from page one to last page.
✅ Change your patterns, add more complex brushstrokes and repeat the same thing again and again. Watch your progress.
✅ Once you have built your confidence on paper switch to pottery.
